What are you doing this summer? (Or if your region is not in summertime, what did you do last summer/plan on doing next summer?)

So it is currently Winter for me so  will be telling you about what I’ll be doing next Summer which is in the Christmas holidays for me (Why can’t I have a white christmas?!). I will probably be reading and going to the pool or the beach with my friends because its going to be so hot… I’ll have my birthday in Summer too so maybe I’ll have a party? I dunno…

How many physical books do you own?

Well… my book shelf is currently over flowing so I’d say over 100 books which isn’t much compared to lots of people. But books are my beautiful babies and I will never get rid of any of them. Except for my kidish ones I still have… I still want moooorreee!

Under what circumstances would you DNF a book?

I don’t like giving up on books but there is just sometimes when I don’t get into them at the start and then I still don’t get into them during the middle. I sometimes DNF because they get slow and boring for like half the book which makes me really really sad. 😦

What movie did you last see in theatres? Did you enjoy it?

*Laughs evily* Yes. Now. I saw Star Trek just yesterday. I do not know how to explain it except that it was wayyy better than the previous two reboot movies. I just want to chant *Another movie, Another movie, Another movie* because it was that good. It’ll be another three years until it comes out though so I’ll be finished school… Oh no. It’ll be like that for Star Wars as well… I don’t want to grow up >.<

Do you play video games? If so, on what console?

When I was younger like five years ago I used to play Minecraft. I was literally addicted to it for three years until I stopped because one of my favourite servers shut down. That was on PC. At the moment I’m in the middle of playing Assassins Creed 2 (Who says a girl can’t play those games) which is one Xbox 360.

What are your favourite things and least favourite things about blogging?

Lets do least favourite first. Deadlines. I hate it when I have to have a post done by a Thursday or Friday. And when I don’t have time to do it during exam time it makes me sad because I’m not organised enough. Just like now when I am writing this post three days late.

On to favourite things. I think I’ve answered this one before but I love making people happy and I like people looking at what I’ve written. I just generally love writing for people even when everything has gone off the rails like it has this month.

Tell me teaser sentence from a book you’re currently reading.

Uh oh. *Quickly grabs next book in Harry Potter series* (I haven’t started another book. Yet) Ok. “Not for the first time, an argument had broken out over breakfast at number four, Privet Drive”

What device do you use to write blog posts?

Computer! I used to write them on my iPad but that became a pain. Computer is soooo much better with writing blog posts. I mean why write with your phone when you can write on your laptop? (I only got mine recently).

Tell me a fact that any bloggers don’t know.

I have been to Narnia with my friends. We’ve been many times before and we mainly go there to skip class or to just have a fun time. (Its the main excuse we all use when someone asks where someone else is. We can all thank Soup for that one). Oh, another one, I completed my first year of Hogwarts on Friday with Harry and the gang.

If you could travel anywhere in the world in an instant, where would it be?

Can it be multiple places? I wanna go everywhere and see lots of different things. I want to go to the snow where the snow actually stays on the ground… I want to go Ice skating under the northern lights… I want to… I could go on forever. So, I don’t actually know where I want to go. Just somewhere other than this boring town.

What song is stuck in your head right now?

“That’s what I hear when you’re by my side
Yeah that’s what I hear when you’re by my side
But when you’re gone the music goes
I lose my rhythm, lose my soul”

Final Song by MO. I do not know why I am obsessed with this song. I have been listening to it on repeat for the last two weeks.

Musicals Based On Books!

Musicals are beautiful master pieces of real life with singing, dancing and heaps of beautiful costumes! We all may know that most of these musicals are based on books and present an amazing show with main characters and plot from those books. Musicals such as Matilda, Wicked & Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

This is a musical I have only seen recently for my mums birthday. I can say it was officially amazing! The songs were amazing! EVERYTHING was amazing. The costumes, the performers/actors, the songs and especially the stage setting. I was actually sad because there was an interval in it but I didn’t want it to end. I would recommend to all! Sadly it isn’t in Sydney but it is in Melbourne for those in Australia!

I must have seen Wicked when I was around 8 years-old and was my very first musical (Other than the school plays we got to go see), I was a silly child and didn’t understand it much but it was still great!! The costumes were so extravagant and different to what I had seen before, the acting was superb! I liked how they didn’t do the tradition Wizard of Oz instead they brought it to the next level by doing it before that all happened (The original author did that) which was soo good!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

I saw this musical in London about two years ago and it was one of the most visually pleasing. The costumes were AMAZING and the plot of the musical was exactly like the book, I wouldn’t have expected anything else. Being the first musical I saw in London; I wasn’t expecting much. I hadn’t really heard of it until I saw the big board in front of the theatre. It was truly amazing. I recommend this musical to EVERYONE! Sadly it hasn’t played in Australia yet but fingers crossed it will come soon!

Thank you for reading! Sorry I didn’t post last week. I haven’t read books for the last three weeks. So I can’t do a review. I started reading Harry Potter for the first time today. So hopefully I get hooked so I can review that!

Book Apocalypse

Hii! So today I decided to do a book apocalypse post which involves me picking five books at random and answering some questions. I am going to do my version of this as it is usually a tag, I saw this at BookYaReviews!

Each book will answer two questions. I will randomly flick through each book and randomly pick two names from each and then answer the questions.

So I picked five books, these five books are: Fairest, A Thousand Pieces Of You, A Court Of Mist & Fury, Harry Potter & The Philosophers Stone and Shiver.

  1. First person to die: Winter from Fairest by Marissa Meyer (Oh my gosh! Not my sweetheart! Jacin would kill me! I don’t want her to die first! That would be terrible! I’d rather Levana die first!)
  2. The person you trip to get away from the zombies: Levana from Fairest by Marissa Meyer (YES LET HER GET TRIPPED OVER! No one likes her… what can I say? Everyone wants her gone. Plus she’d probably complain all the time)
  3. The first person to turn into a zombie: Paul from A Thousand Pieces Of You by Claudia Gray (Now this is just terrible. Paul isn’t that stupid is he? I don’t want to see him die…)
  4. The person that trips YOU to get away from the zombies: Theo from A Thousand Pieces Of You by Claudia Gray (I don’t know if I like this or not because I have this nagging feeling that I hate Theo…)
  5. The idiot of the team: Cassian from A Court Of Mist & Fury by Sarah J Maas (Of course Cassian is the idiot but at least he knows how to fight. He’d be that idiot that does things and then he fixes it right away.)
  6. The brains of the team: Amren from A Court Of Mist & Fury by Sarah J Maas (Amren is the really smart one anyway, so no one should be worried! She’s got centuries of info in her. She’ll save us right?)
  7. The teams medic: Hermione from Harry Potter by JK Rowling ( Hermione is definitely the type of person to help cure someone especially with the magic and stuff, she’ll do well!)
  8. The weapons expert: Harry from Harry Potter by JK Rowling ( He’s good with wands? So he should be good with other weapons. The magic might help as well so lets hope that does something to help us!)
  9. The brawler: Paul from Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (Yes yes. The Alpha male! OF COURSE he is the brawler but we don’t really know him very well… I’m not sure… But he does seem like that type of character)
  10. The team captain: Sam from Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater ( Sam is so kind! He’d be a great leader. He would never leave anyone behind and he would make sure everyone is equal. I like that sort of leader )

Hope you enjoyed today’s post! I am going to my grandparents house and I don’t think there will be a review this week. I know, I know, two weeks in a row. REALLY Athena?! We will see! I hope I give you guys a review this week. I will see. I PROMISE!
